Frequently Asked Questions
Unfortunately, we don’t allow dogs on the site. Please leave your dog at home while you enjoy Mud Kids.
There is a large car park at each Mud Kids venue, and is provided free of charge.
We welcome spectators to come and watch friends and family take on the course, and you won’t have to pay penny to do so. You won’t be able to access or see the whole course (and only those with tickets are allowed on the course), but you will be able to see some obstacles, as well as the start and finish lines.
To register you and give you your wristband, we will need to see your ticket. You can either bring an e-copy on your phone or a printed copy. As long as we can scan the unique barcode, we’re happy! Eventbrite, our ticket provider, has an app you can download, and in which you can store your tickets.
We suggest that our event is best enjoyed by those aged 4 and upwards, but we are willing for children aged 3 to take part if they are aided on the course by a parent who will be with them at all times.
We love to see families taking part together; that's what we love best at Mud Kids. But we also think it's best for parents or guardians to take part with any children who are 8 and under. This is because we want to make sure everyone is as safe as possible, and the children feel secure enough to make the absolute most of the experience.
We want everyone who wants to take part in Mud Kids to do so, so if you're a registered carer looking to bring along the person you care for, please do get in touch so we can arrange a free carers ticket for you. Please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ah glorious mud! How we love mud.... and we do all we can to create muddy courses, but sometimes prolonged hot weather and poor water availability can make it tricky to create those revoltingly muddy scenes you will often see depicted in our photography. We promise to always do the best we can, and to make our courses fun and exciting.
We recommend that you wear long sleeves and long trousers. Layers are ideal, so you can add them or take away as the weather requires!
We recommend that you wear trainers that you are happy to get covered in mud and immersed in water. Trainers that have treads and good grips are best.
We have very primitive, limited washing facilities available on site, so recommend that you come with baby wipes, towels, and a full change of clothes and shoes to put on after you’ve finished the course. For those of a fastidious nature, you might want to make sure you’ve got seat covers for your car.
We have a number of chemical toilets, including a disabled toilet, available on site.
We have an area next to registration where you can leave your bag, but it’s important you realise this is at your own risk.
We have a select number of vendors selling hot and cold drinks and food at every event. We will also be selling Mud Kids t-shirts and water bottles. If you want to take advantage of the merchandise and great refreshments available, make sure you bring your wallet along with you.
Sports Action Photo are our chosen partners to photograph our events, and you’ll see them snapping away all around the course. Their photos are available to view and purchase 24-48 hours after every event, and the gallery link to these photos will be provided on the event page of our website, by email to all those who attended the event, and posted on our social channels.
