Hospital

We are so excited to announce that we're teaming up with Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity for our Birmingham 2019 event on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May.

This amazing children's hospital is in the heart of the Midlands and treats over 90,000 children each year. That's incredibly 1 in 8 of all children in the Midlands.

Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity's Head of Public Fundraising, Serena Daw, says:

"We believe there's always more we can do for our sick kids and that's why we will always strive to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to the babies, children and families we care for.

It's only through the kindness, generosity and hard work of our supporters raising these vital funds for our charity that we are able to do more every year to take us closer to achieving our vision to provide the best possible facilities and environment for our exceptional patients and young people.

We are so thankful to Mud Kids for choosing to support us through this wonderful event. We hope you'll be inspired to download a sponsorship form or set up an online fundraising page and help us give the very best to those who need us most. Only the best is good enough for our sick kids."

Here at Mud Kids, we hope that those of you taking part in our Birmingham event will choose to also fundraise for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity. It could do so much, for example:

  • £10 could fund a 'babble bag' for our cleft lip and palate patients. The toys and books in the bag support activities to encourage speech development.

  • £25 could pay for a pair of professional singers to engage a child in songs at their bedside.

  • £100 could help fund a full-sized changing table for a disabled young person who requires support with their personal care.

  • £200 could pay for 125 activity packs for children waiting in the Emergency Department, reducing stress and anxiety.

  • £500 could pay for materials and food for healthy eating sessions for children with type 2 diabetes.

  • £1,000 could fund a new piece of equipment such as a urine analysis machine.

Thank you on behalf of all the babies, children and families at Birmingham Children's Hospital for supporting some of the sickest kids in the Midlands. You are amazing!
